MAHURANGI REGATTA 2026 CANCELLED

Due to the recent extreme weather and the forecast for strong winds on Saturday the decision has reluctantly been made by the Mahurangi Regatta Committee to cancel this year’s event. A number of factors including the following have contributed to our decision: • The road into West Mahurangi has been closed due to a major slip • Accessing the big marquee from west Mahurangi is currently not possible • Access to Sullivans Bay may not be possible for Saturday • Sodden ground at Scotts Landing will restrict vehicle access for event setup • High winds and ground conditions at Scotts Landing affect the viability of erecting the big marquee (even if we were able to transport it from West Mahurangi) • Strong westerly winds on Saturday will make anchoring off Scotts Landing untenable
