Labour Weekend SUNDAY 27

th

October 2019

The Spring Splash had 7 entries for the Labour Weekend event. The first yacht started at 1 pm - but the wind was light and by the time the last started the wind had almost given out. We gave up sailing the course as for 2 hours there was absolutely no wind. Some of the Stewart 34’s put a line over the side and started fishing. Except for Grant Scurr in “Maelo” who had more patience than the rest of us and when the wind returned, he eventually got to finish after 5:30 to collect the rum. Very pleasant evening on the ‘Moerangi’ for a shared dinner. Photos are posted on the EVENTS page.
