HONEY is based on a 19th century rowing and sailing clinker dinghy. Built at Carrington Tech, now UNITEC, in the clinker boat building night school class from February 1981-November 1983. Keith Atkinson, who was the tutor, drew up the plans and lines. Honey is featured in the book Thoughts on Clinker Lapstrake Dinghy Construction by Peter Peal. Built with NZ Kauri planks and mahogany transom; the main is sprit rigged, with a small jib.

We have owned her since new, and now, very reluctantly, have to sell her, due to ill health.
Currently, she is in our carport, the road trailer up on blocks. But, all in excellent well maintained condition.
She was sailed regularly at the Mahurangi Regatta for many years, last sailed at Mahurangi Regatta 2015. Honey is featured in the Mahurangi Cruising Club year book for 2008-2009, page 46. All genuine inquires welcome, and welcome to view at Lynfield Auckland.
